This FIRA/FRQG Standard covers children's furniture (aged 3 to 12 years old) and includes safety requirements for materials, edges and corners, tubular components, squeeze points, flaps, cords and packaging, as well as test report requirements and useful information relating to chemical requirements for children's furniture
This Standard has been produced and endorsed by the Furniture Retail Quality Group (FRQG), consisting of the major furniture retailers in the UK, due to the absence of any British or European Standards applicable to children’s domestic and camping furniture and covers general safety requirements.
This Standard is applicable to all types of domestic seating, tables and storage furniture for use by children from 3 years old to 12 years old.
