5C is a technique that enables you to set standards and spot abnormal conditions so that corrective actions can be taken before they can cause problems. All processes require a stable workplace, and this technique aims to maintain and improve the standard of the workplace.

5C is not just about keeping things clean. While maintaining a clean workplace is a by-product of a good 5C condition, it is not the primary goal. The main objective of 5C is to enable you to identify unusual conditions and promote a safe working environment through preventative maintenance.
