In relation to arm caps/ arm protectors can it be confirmed if these items are in- scope of the Regulations and if so is labelling required on the cap / protector itself?

A – In relation to both the permanent and point of sale labelling of a modular product such as a corner unit consisting of multiple pieces, which can be both purchased and used as individual items, can it be confirmed:
- if each item of furniture requires a permanent label
- if each item of furniture requires a point of sale label
- if supplied in a single transaction, whether as one or more parts requires, only one permanent and one point of sale label.

Question 4
In relation to what is commonly termed “fringe” or “trim” materials, commonly attached over upholstery or directly (no upholstery) to timber frames, can it be confirmed:
- if these materials would be considered to be a cover fabric and therefore fall within the scope of the Regulations and
- whether there is a particular size, length or coverage of these materials, for example if the fringe material was placed on the sides, arms or back of the sofa, which would then constitute the material being described as a cover fabric.
