The Irish Fire Safety Regulations for Upholstered Furniture Update
Following on from the recent article regarding clarification from the Irish Government Department for Enterprise, Trade and Employment that upholstered furniture sold in Ireland must meet the requirements of the Irish Fire Safety Regulations.
Whilst the majority of requirements are clear there are some areas where further guidance and clarity from the Irish authorities is needed. Unfortunately, this guidance has not yet been received and at present, we do not have a timeline for when this can be expected.
