Supporting with COVID-19 knowledge

The Furniture Industry Research Association has created a central resource to collate and share knowledge on COVID-19. Directly accessible via www.fira.co.uk/covid-19 the section includes a mix of industry and government support and knowledge.

Speaking on the COVID-19 support available, Phil Reynolds, Chief Operating Officer of the Furniture Industry Research Association said, “We’re in very uncertain times, and as an organisation it’s imperative that the Research Association can be relied upon as a source of accurate knowledge and support to our members, and the wider furniture section. There is so much information coming at a rapid pace from many angles, such as the Government, BSI and other committees that it can be hard to stay ahead. Unfortunately we’re also seeing ‘fake-news’, mainly via unscrupulous social media accounts.

“This is why we took the decision to have one central resource, entirely dedicated to the furniture sector. The COVID-19 knowledge section is available to members of the Furniture Industry Research Association, whilst some of the more ‘high level’ information available is open to all from across the furniture sector, in order to support as many as possible during these difficult times.

“Our service provider, FIRA International, is still operating at this current time, with their technical experts being available to members should they require any bespoke support in the current environment.”
