Research Association Release Lean Training Toolkit Part 7 - Problem Solving
The seventh part of the Furniture Industry Research Association's Lean Manufacturing Training Toolkit, which focuses on 'Problem Solving', is now available for members.
Problem Solving is the application of structured tools and techniques to identify the true root cause of a problem. Employees spend a significant amount of time in their organisations fire-fighting on a daily basis. Spending time on true root cause analysis and solving the issues that lead to firefighting is a much more productive use of their time. This training will give employees the skills to perform a true root-cause analysis of the problem.
Benefits:
- Structured approach: Helps teams systematically explore various contributing factors to a problem
- Collaborative problem-solving: Encourages team participation and brainstorming to identify potential root causes
- Prioritisation: Allows for focusing on the most significant causes for corrective action
The toolkit provides theoretical and practical training on this lean principle. It includes an agenda for planning a training course, a PowerPoint presentation with notes, and templates.
Members of The Research Association can access the 'Problem Solving' Lean Manufacturing Training Toolkit here.
Available for Non-members to purchase from the FIRA bookshop priced at £80.
