New Standard for educational furniture published

A new European standard has been published – BS EN 13150: 2020 Workbenches for laboratories in educational institutions – Dimensions, safety and durability requirements and test methods. The standard contains dimension and performance requirements for workbenches, workbench shelves and moveable science tables.
This document immediately replaces the 2001 version of the standard. The key changes are that the scope has been restricted from all laboratories to just those in educational institutions and that most of the test methods have been removed and references made t existing furniture test method standards.
