FIRA’s Levent Caglar Granted Freedom of the City of London

We proudly announce that Levent Caglar, Senior Ergonomist at FIRA International, has been granted the Freedom of the City of London, joining the likes of Sir Isaac Newton, Lord Nelson, and Florence Nightingale. He has also become a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
Speaking about the appointment, Levent said, “During almost 40 years in the furniture industry, I have striven to make an impact for adults and children alike. I am honoured to have been made a Liveryman and look forward to playing my part in the great work of the Furniture Makers’ Company.”
Levent has established himself as a leading expert in ergonomics and human factors in the furniture industry. He is internationally renowned for delivering independent and impactful ergonomics solutions. His influence has shaped the design and development of many furniture products, from the initial concept to the final product for manufacture.
Levent is also the Furniture Industry Research
Association’s standards and regulatory expert. For many years, he has been
heavily involved in developing British, European, and International standards
related to furniture and ergonomics, ensuring that industry practices meet the
highest benchmarks of excellence.
