FEMB Technical Committee Meeting Report - January 2019

FIRA attended the latest FEMB Technical Committee meeting that supports the development of a European Standard for Sustainable Office Furniture Products. The scheme has developed from and is very similar to the ANSI accredited BIFMA Sustainable Product certification.
The FEMB Level Standard is accredited by DAKKs, the German national accreditation service, with four certification bodies now accredited to audit against the scheme criteria. A number of manufacturers have now certified their products and a number of other organisations have product certification in process.
