This is part 7 of our Lean Manufacturing Training Toolkit, which supports furniture manufacturers who want to introduce lean principles into their organisation or re-energise their current lean programmes.
Problem Solving is the application of structured tools and techniques to identify the true root cause of a problem. Employees spend a significant amount of time in their organisations fire-fighting on a daily basis. Spending time on true root cause analysis and solving the issues that lead to firefighting is a much more productive use of their time. This training will give employees the skills to perform a true root-cause analysis of the problem.
Benefits:
- Structured approach: Helps teams systematically explore various contributing factors to a problem
- Collaborative problem-solving: Encourages team participation and brainstorming to identify potential root causes
- Prioritisation: Allows for focusing on the most significant causes for corrective action
This toolkit includes the following:
- Guidance for undertaking Problem Solving activity
- Problem Solving training agenda
- Problem Solving training presentation
- Problem Solving presentation slide notes
- Problem Solving templates
