Balustrade Testing

There are significant health and safety implications associated with balustrades and stair products when used in houses and commercial buildings. For this reason it is important that companies have proof of due diligence by quantifying the performance of their products in relation to relevant building regulations. 

FIRA’s facilities not only enable manufacturers and distributors to gain invaluable, independent test evidence but can also be used to assist with product development.

FIRA works closely with BMTRADA Certification and its tests can be used as evidence in support of the “Q mark” product certification scheme for balustrades.
